Look Up Contributors

Welcome to Wisconsin’s premier searchable digital database of campaign contributors to candidates for state office in Wisconsin. Regularly updated, this database includes records of contributions of $100 or more from individuals to candidates for the Wisconsin Legislature as well as governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, state school superintendent and state Supreme Court justices.

The contributor records in this database generally date back to 1993, although in limited cases contributions dating as far back as 1989 are included. As of 2016, a new state law requires the disclosure of only the occupation of donors who give more than $200 in a calendar year.  Previous state law required disclosure of both the occupation and employer of donors who gave more than $100 in a calendar year. When possible, the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign adds employer information for contributors. Please note that, in general, contributions returned by the candidates are excluded from search results. You have two options when searching for individual contributors. Use the simple search below to search by contributor, employer, city or candidate or use the advanced search to search by more varied criteria.

Contributions from political action committees (PACs) can be found elsewhere on our website.

Simple Search

When searching for individuals, type in the just the last name of the contributor for most comprehensvie results. Employer search starts with the beginning of the employer's name. Example: Type Johnson to get Johnson Controls and SC to get SC Johnson & Son. When searching the city, you may try alternate spellings for cities, e.g. De Forest for DeForest.

Recent Updates

September 11, 2026: Updated through through July 27, 2026 for candidates in the fall 2026 partisan elections, the four legislative campaign committees, and a handful of state officeholders not up for reelection who filed the 2026 pre-primary campaign finance report. Updated through June 30, 2026 for all current elected state officeholders, 2026 Wisconsin State Supreme Court candidates, and the legislative campaign committee segregated funds. Individual contributor data has been fully processed only through June 30, 2025. That means that employer and special interest information have not yet been added to contributions received after June 30, 2025. However, special interest codes have been provisionally added for some occupations. In cases where a contributor gave through a conduit, the conduit name has been added to the employer field with the name in parentheses (). The special interest code for the conduit has been applied to those contributors.Contributions to the 2026 supreme court candidates have been adjusted for returns reported by the end of the spring pre-election period, March 23, 2026.

Returned contributions are removed at our discretion.
