Recall groups got $49 million from secret sources
Wisconsin’s ethics code isn’t the only thing that’s obsolete. So are the state’s campaign finance disclosure laws.

A report issued this morning by the Democracy Campaign shows that interest groups aiming to influence the 2011 and 2012 recall elections raised more than half their money – over $49 million – from secret sources. Only $1 out of every $81 these groups used for their campaigning came from fully disclosed donors.
