WISCONSIN DEMOCRACY CAMPAIGN E-LERT

In this update:
1. Cost of state Supreme Court tops $5.8 million
2. Report on health care reform opponents' donations makes statewide news

Candidates and special interest groups that ran their own campaigns to influence the outcome of this April's state Supreme Court election combined to spend more than $5.8 million on the race, according to a Democracy Campaign analysis.

The report the Democracy Campaign released yesterday on campaign contributions from opponents of health care reform made news across the state. The Associated Press sent out a story on its state news wire service. Wisconsin Public Radio made mention of the report on its statewide Ideas Network, and Wisconsin Radio Network also did a story on the subject for its 70-plus member stations throughout the state.
