WISCONSIN DEMOCRACY CAMPAIGN E-LERT

In this update:
1. St. Norbert/WPR poll shows government ethics a top concern
2. Editorials take aim at money behind vote on cable TV bill
3. Constitutional amendment limiting veto authority advances

What's the biggest problem in Wisconsin? The surprising answer is the topic of our latest Big Money Blog. To see the results of the latest Wisconsin Survey by St. Norbert College Survey Center, go here.

The Democracy Campaign's recent analysis of campaign donations from supporters of the cable TV bill approved by the state Senate last week inspired newspaper editorials across the state, including in The Capital Times, Wausau Daily Herald and Janesville Gazette.

A state Senate committee this week gave the green light to a proposed constitutional amendment limiting the so-called "Frankenstein veto" power of the governor. The committee action sets the stage for a vote in the full Senate on the measure, which has already been approved by the Assembly. If the Senate OKs it, the proposed amendment to the state constitution will go to the voters for ratification.
