OathSpending

This is a California-based corporation run by Progressive Kick that was registered in 2011 to make independent expenditures in Wisconsin elections. The group supports Democratic candidates for state and federal office by helping them raise money. The corporation filed documents with the state indicating it might make independent expenditures to support the Democratic oppents of incumbent Republican Governor Scott Walker and GOP 17th Senate District candidate Howard Marklein, the outgoing incumbent in the 51st Assembly District.

The group spent about $410,000 in October on television, radio and online advertising against Walker and reported no spending in the 17th Senate District.

Progressive Kick and National Nurses United for Patient Protection co-sponsored an online ad in October against Walker.

Last active election: 2011

This organization is registered with the Government Accountability Board as an independent disbursement committee following the January 2010 U.S. Supreme Court ruling in Citizens United v. FEC.
