Republican Gov. Scott Walker kicked off his bid for a third four-year term as governor among some generous GOP campaign contributors.

Walker announced he was running for reelection again in 2018 on Sunday at Weldall Manufacturing in Waukesha, a welding and fabrication company. Weldall executives and employees gave Walker’s campaign $46,550 between January 2010 and June 2017.

Walker’s contributions came from three employees: Weldall owner and president David Bahl, of Elkhorn, $41,000; Daniel Bahl, of Brookfield, a lead estimator, and his wife, Dana, $5,450; and purchasing manager Ruth Ann Kintop, of Waukesha, $100.

Overall, Weldall employees contributed $76,750 between January 2010 and June 2017 to all Wisconsin legislative and statewide candidates. All but $1,500 went to Republican legislative and statewide candidates.
