Rep. Underheim was first elected in a June 1987 special election.
He was unopposed in the primary and faced Democratic, Green Party, and Independent opposition in the general election.
Human Rights League ($19) and Volunteers for Agriculture ($77) made independent expenditures favoring Rep. Underheim. America Coming Together Wisconsin ($744), Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin ($728), and Winnebagoland Uniserv ($1,289) made independent expenditures in favor of his Democratic opponent. TAA-PAC ($241) made independent expenditures in favor of his Green Party opponent.
Forest County Potawatomi Community spent undisclosed amounts on "issue ads" in support of Rep. Underheim.
