Senator Breske was first elected in a November 1990 special election. He was unopposed in the primary and faced Republican opposition in the general election. Volunteers for Agriculture ($9,433) and WEAC ($299,960) made independent expenditures favoring Senator Breske. Building a Better Wisconsin ($12,531) made independent expenditures in favor of his opponent. Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce spent undisclosed amounts on "issue ads" in oppostion to Senator Breske. |
