Senator Grothman was first elected to the Assembly in a December 1993 special election and to the Senate in 2004. He defeated the Republican incumbent in a two way primary and was unopposed in the general election. Pro-Life Wisconsin Victory Fund ($771) and Volunteers for Agriculture ($77) made independent expenditures favoring Senator Grothman. Pro-Life Victory spent an estimated $800 on "issue ads" in support of Senator Grothman. |
