Senator Lassa was first elected to the Assembly in 1998 and to the Senate in an April 2003 special election. She was unopposed in the primary and faced Republican opposition in the general election. Healthy Wisconsin ($924), Human Rights League ($19) and Volunteers for Agriculture ($77) made independent expenditures favoring Senator Lassa. Wisconsin Right to Life spent undisclosed amounts on "issue ads" in oppositon to Senator Lassa. |
