Senator Lasee was first elected to the Assembly in 1974 and to the Senate in a May 1977 special election. He was unopposed in the primary and faced Democratic and Green Party opposition in the general election. WI Right to Life ($131) made independent expenditures favoring Senator Lasee. The Human Rights League ($21) made independent expenditures supporting his Democratic opponent. Building Wisconsin's Future spent undisclosed amounts on "issue ads" opposing Senator Lasee. |
