Senator Plale was first elected to the Assembly in a March 1996 special election and to the Senate in an April 2003 special election. He won a two way primary and faced Republican and Green Party opposition in the general election. The Human Rights League ($21), Milwaukee Police Assn ($99) and WI Right to Life ($131) made independent expenditures favoring Senator Plale. |
