Senator Vinehout was first elected in 1990. She won a two way primary and faced a Republican incumbent in the general election. NARAL Pro-Choice WI ($57), Planned Parenthood Action Fund ($9,667) and Planned Parenthood Advocates of WI ($137) made independent expenditures favoring Senator Vinehout. Volunteers for Agriculture ($8,179), WI Hospitals ($1,804), WI Right to Life ($131) and Working Families ($45,273) made independent expenditures supporting her opponent. The Greater Wisconsin Committee spent undisclosed amounts on "issue ads" in support of Senator Vinehout. |
