Senator Olsen was first elected to the Assembly in 1994 and to the Senate in 2004. He was unopposed in the primary and faced Democratic opposition in the general election. NRA Political Victory Fund - Federal PAC ($4,686) and WMC Jobs Fund ($425,671) made independent expenditures favoring Senator Olsen. Construction Trades Coalition ($10,458), For Our Future ($944), Wisconsin Prosperity ($200,960) and Working America Coalition ($450) supported his opponent.
