This is a Washington D.C.-based committee that opposed Republican state senators in Wisconsin targeted for recall in 2011. The committee was formed earlier that year by America Votes, an outside electioneering group that has spent millions of dollars backing progressive Democratic candidates nationwide since it was created in 2004.

The committee's treasurer, Gregory Speed, said in a letter to the Federal Election Commission early in 2011 that the committee planned to raise unlimited funds to make independent expenditures, rather than directly contribute to candidates.

It did not report any spending in the recall elections.

This organization is registered with the Government Accountability Board following the January 2010 U.S. Supreme Court ruling in Citizens United v. FEC as a corporation making independent disbursements.
