This corporation was created by the Georgia-based Tea Party Patriots to make independent expenditures on behalf of Republican Governor Scott Walker and Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch who faced recall elections in 2012 response to the governor's 2011 plan to restrict public employee collective bargaining rights.
This group bills itself as a national grassroots organization that provides support to local tea party groups around the country. The Tea Party Patriots advocate for "limited" government and a "free" market.
This organization is registered with the Government Accountability Board following the January 2010 U.S. Supreme Court ruling in Citizens United v. FEC as a corporation making independent disbursements.
