Spring election: OathSpending

This is a political action committee created by an Appleton area group called FoXCAN which is also known as the Fox Valley Christian Action Network.* The conservative organization describes itself as a private, nonprofit Christian group that defends "the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Fox Valley." The group opposes gay marriage and abortion.  Documents filed with the state show FoXCAN's treasurer is Perry Bovee who co-founded another organization to challenge the Appleton Common Council's decision last September to extend unemployment benefits to same-sex domestic partners.

FoXCAN reported independent expenditures of more $340 for brochures to support Republican legislator Don Pridemore's losing challenge to Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Evers, and Supreme Court Justice Pat Roggensack's successful reelection campaign.
