This political action committee is controlled by the Virginia-based National Rifle Association, the nation's largest pro-gun lobbying and advocacy organization. It has spent more than $1.1 million since 2002 on independent expenditures on behalf of Wisconsin candidates for legislative and statewide offices. It last made independent expenditures on behalf of Republican Governor Scott Walker and four Republican legislators in the June 2012 recall elections.
All its reported independent spending in the 2013 special elections was restricted to the 69th Assembly District.
