OathSpending

This corporation is run by the Jobs First Coalition, a pro-business and economic development group created in 2009 to support Republican candidates for the legislature. The group, whose mailing address is a post office box in Brookfield, spent an estimated $326,500 on phony issue ads and independent expenditures in legislative races between 2010 and 2013.

Documents released in May 2014 by tobacco giant Reynolds American showed the company donated $60,000 to Jobs First Coalition in 2013 - a contribution that covered most of the group's spending in the special elections.  A campaign finance report filed by the Jobs First Coalition Political Fund showed it also received two contributions totaling $76,000 in 2013 from its issue ad arm also active in the current election.

The group did not report any independent expenditures in 2014.

Last active election: 2013

This organization is registered with the Government Accountability Board as an independent disbursement committee following the January 2010 U.S. Supreme Court ruling in Citizens United v. FEC.
