Special: OathSpending

The Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters, a statewide environmental advocacy group, created this committee to make independent expenditures in the 2011 recall elections. In those and subsequent state elections, it has only supported Democratic candidates.

Four days before the June 12 special elections to fill a vacancy in the 1st Senate District, the League's independent expenditure committee reported spending on a mailer supporting Caleb Frostman, the Democratic candidate in the race.

This is the second committee the League has used to make independent expenditures in this race. The Wisconsin League of Conservations Voters PAC has been involved in the election since early May.

Last active election: 2016

This organization is registered with the Wisconsin Ethics Commission as an independent expenditure committee following the January 2010 U.S. Supreme Court ruling in Citizens United v. FEC.
