This is a new unregistered committee run by the Washington, D. C.-based American Federation of Teachers to support Democratic candidates.  The union represents professional public employees, including, teachers.

In mid-October the group reported spending $10,000 on robo calls in to support Democratic candidate for governor Tony Evers, who faces GOP Gov. Scott Walker on the Nov. 6 ballot. Shortly afterwards it added another $10,000 on online advertising.

The group also has another unregistered committee called AFT-Wisconsin that sponsor electioneering activities in Wisconsin elections, as well as a PAC that makes direct contributions to candidates.

This organization is an unregistered independent expenditure committee that is required to report any such spending done within 60 days of a primary or an election to the Wisconsin Ethics Commission per Chapter 11, Subchapter X of Wisconsin Statutes.
