This Milwaukee-based indepenent expenditure committee was established in January 2018 by Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele to make independent expenditures in an attempt to unseat his political opponents in the April 2018 elections. For all practical purposes he is the sole funder. Of the $805,000 the committee raised in the first half of 2018, he provided $790,000.
At the end of July the committee reported spending in the Democratic primary to support two challengers, LaKeshia Myers in the 12th Assembly District and Liz Sumner in the 23rd. Myers defeated incumbent Democrat Fred Kessler in the primary and faces no opponent in November. Sumner, in the 23rd Assembly District, won a three-way primary and faces Republican incumbent Jim Ott in the general election.
In mid-October it reported spending on mailings and online advertising to support Sumner and Robyn Vining, the Democratic candidate in the 14th Assembly District. Vining faces Republican Matt Adamczyk, the current state treasurer, for the open seat.
