3. TONIGHT: Forum on Supreme Court reform in Eau Claire
The state Government Accountability Board will hold a required public hearing on new rules the board gave initial approval to last November, the next step in a several-step legal process to put the rules into effect.
The hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. this coming Monday, March 30 at the GAB’s offices just off the Capitol Square. For more details on the hearing, go here.
A special interest group has entered the fray in the state Supreme Court race. To check out the report the Democracy Campaign posted yesterday on this development, go here. And there has been more interest group spending in the state school superintendent race. For more on that, go here.
There are three more forums on judicial election reform scheduled before March ends, including one tonight in Eau Claire, another next Monday evening in Green Bay, and one Tuesday night in Lake Mills. If you’re in the area, hope to see you there. Keep an eye out for future events on impartialjustice.org.
