Elite donors loom large in statewide elections
The Democracy Campaign issued a report today listing the 70 fattest cats in Wisconsin politics, an elite corps of donors who shoveled more than $874,000 to candidates for state office from both parties in 2009.

Anti-reform lawyers emboldened by Citizens United ruling
When the U.S. Supreme Court effectively rewrote a century’s worth of laws and removed all restrictions on corporate election spending this past January, you'd think that had to be the realization of the wildest dreams of those who specialize in legal attacks on campaign finance reform laws.
