Fake recall petition filed to give Walker head start on unlimited fundraising
We saw fake primary candidates in some of this summer’s senate recall elections. Now we have a fake petition filed to recall Governor Scott Walker by one of his own supporters. The action allows the governor to engage in unlimited campaign fundraising 11 days earlier than he otherwise would have been able to.
If you have not already done so, you can protest this phony charade and the loophole in state law that is behind it by signing our petition. And then tell your legislators that unlimited campaign fundraising is wrong for Wisconsin under any circumstances and urge them to close the loophole by passing Assembly Bill 296.
The only answer
The belief in the next generation’s reach exceeding the grasp of the previous generation always has been at the core of the American Dream. The core has rotted. There is only one answer. To see what it is, check out our latest Big Money Blog.
The central theme of this blog post is that a pivotal episode in Wisconsin history must be repeated. That also was the gist of what the Democracy Campaign’s director said in a speech last week in Fort Atkinson, covered at length by the local newspaper.
Getting arrested for shooting up the Capitol
Be careful what you point and shoot at the State Capitol. Having a camera in the statehouse can get you arrested. Carrying a gun won’t.
