This morning the Democracy Campaign filed complaints with state election authorities against 29 major campaign donors. Public records show these individuals’ contributions exceeded the legal limit. Read more....

Justice Prosser very popular . . . outside Wisconsin
A Democracy Campaign review of individual contributions to Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice David Prosser’s 2011 reelection campaign produced an eye-opening finding. More than three-quarters of Prosser’s donations came from contributors who do not live in Wisconsin. There’s more on this in our latest Big Money Blog.
Congress hits rock bottom
Communism is more popular in America than Congress right now. So is the IRS. And Paris Hilton. Members of Congress are dead even with Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez.
The fact that half of members are millionaires certainly does not help their cause with the masses. But their utter inability to do the public’s business in a way that remotely promotes the common good is their real undoing. A recent Non Sequitur comic strip sums it all up brilliantly.
