Latest revelations in Walker probe have familiar ring
As the corruption investigation of Governor Scott Walker’s braintrust continues to unfold, six people now have been criminally charged with offenses ranging from the “sociopathic theft of funds intended to help veterans and their families” to establishing a secret e-mail system to cover up illegal election campaigning that is eerily reminiscent of what was seen at the State Capitol a decade ago. Yet even though virtually his entire inner circle has been implicated in the scandal, there’s been no “I accept full responsibility for the actions of my top aides” or “buck stops here” from Governor Walker. Just his best impersonation of Sergeant Schultz.

Don’t leave it to the insiders. It’s time to Occupy the Recalls. The People’s Legislature will be holding a citizen assembly this Wednesday from noon to 4 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison to give regular folks a say in their political future.
If citizens are going to take charge of their own political fate, it’s important to start by knowing exactly what the insiders are up to. That’s where wisdc.org comes in. We just updated the Recall 2012 feature of our website that allows visitors to follow the recall money. We also just updated our database of political action committee (PAC) contributions. And posted information about big donors to senators targeted for recall on our Big Money Blog.
