Representative Skowronski was first elected to the Assembly in a December 2013 special election. He won a four-way primary and faced Democratic opposition in the special election. Wisconsin Right to Life O.M.I.D. ($250) made independent expenditures favoring Representative Skowronski. American Federation for Children Action Fund IE Committee ($19,260) made independent expenditures supporting one of his primary opponents. Citizens of Franklin 6th District ($250) made independent expenditures in the primary opposing Skowronski's nomination but did not indicate a preference for a particular candidate.
