Progress North is a liberal organization based in the Wisconsin northwoods sponsored by TakeAction Minnesota. First active in 2020, the group has, to date, restricted its reported activity to supporting Democratic legislative candidates in the Lake Superior region.
Eleven days before the Nov. 8 election, the group reported spending over $28,400 for campaign staff, online advertising and literature to support Democratic candidates in the 25th state senate and the 73rd and 74th assembly districts. All three seats were open, as their Democratic incumbents did not seek reelection.
Progress North spent about another $20,700 in the days leading up to the election but all the candidates it backed lost.
