PACs and independent expenditure committees making independent expenditures supporting or opposing candidates in the 2016 fall legislative and spring Supreme Court elections. Due to a change in state campaign finance laws, some PACs and independent expenditure committees, particularly those that operate outside Wisconsin, no longer have to file reports about their election spending or oaths.
