The Republican candidate for secretary of state has spent nearly three times more in the race than the Democratic incumbent, Doug La Follette, for the year through most of October.
Recently filed campaign finance reports showed GOP candidate Amy Loudenbeck has raised $296,470 and spent $354,536 for the year through Oct. 24. Loudenbeck did not spend more money than she had beca use she had cash in her campaign account in addition to the $296,470 that she raised. Loudenbeck had $87,803 in her campaign account as of Oct. 24.
Meanwhile, La Follette has raised $210,717 and spent $126,822 for the year through Oct. 24. La Follette had a cash balance of $85,707 in his campaign account on Oct. 24.
