Representative Tranel was first elected to the Assembly in 2010. He won a two-way primary and defeated the Democratic incumbent in the general election. Citizens for Southwest Wisconsin ($1,942) and Wisconsin Right to Life PAC ($72) made independent expenditures favoring Representative Tranel. Advancing Wisconsin Inc. ($1,059), Fair Wisconsin PAC ($2), Greater Wisconsin Political Independent Expenditure Fund ($87,175) and Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin Inc. ($1,470) made independent expenditures supporting his opponent. American Federation for Children, Jobs First Coalition, Wisconsin Family Action Inc. and Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce spent undisclosed sums on "issue ads" supporting Representative Tranel. |
