Representative Bernier was first elected to the Assembly in 2010. She was unopposed in the primary and defeated the Democratic incumbent in the general election. Wisconsin Right to Life PAC ($72) made independent expenditures favoring Representative Bernier. Advancing Wisconsin Inc. ($9,355), Fair Wisconsin PAC ($5), Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin Inc. ($16,515) and Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters PAC ($3,849) made independent expenditures supporting her opponent. American Federation for Children, Jobs First Coalition and Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce spent undisclosed sums on "issue ads" supporting Representative Bernier. |
