Senator Larson was first elected to the Senate in 2010. He defeated the Democratic incumbent in the primary and faced Republican opposition in the general election. Citizens for a Progressive Wisconsin PAC ($48,836), Citizens for a Progressive Wisconsin Political Fund ($19,269), Voces de la Frontera Action Committee ($108) and Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters PAC ($5,328) made independent expenditures favoring Senator Larson. Wisconsin Right to Life PAC ($12) made independent expenditures supporting his opponent in the general election.
