Representative Doyle was first elected to the Assembly in a May 2011 special election. He won a two-way in the primary and faced Republican opposition in the election. Advancing Wisconsin Inc. ($4,811), Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin Inc. ($7,057) and Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters PAC ($6,502) made independent expenditures favoring Representative Doyle. Republican State Leadership Committee Inc. ($106,750) made independent expenditures supporting his opponent. Jobs First Coalition spent undisclosed sums on "issue ads" in opposition to Representative Doyle. |
