Senator Hansen was first elected to the Senate in 2000 and reelected in a July 2011 recall election. He was unopposed in the primary and faced Republican opposition in the general election. America Votes Action Fund ($8,336), Greater Wisconsin Political Independent Expenditure Fund ($306,365), Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin Inc.
