Senator Harris was first elected to the Senate in 2012. She won a five-way primary and was unopposed in the general election. Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin Inc ($6,207) and Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters IE Committee ($16,098) made independent expenditures favoring Senator Harris. American Federation for Children Action Fund IE Committee ($17,807) made independent expenditures supporting one of her primary opponents, Representative Elizabeth M. Coggs. One group, We Are Milwaukee Inc., made independent expenditures supporting Senator Haris in the Democratic primary but did not report its spending to the state's Government Accountability Board. |
