Assembly Bill 198 establishes a new process for legislative and congressional redistricting in Wisconsin based in part on the Iowa model for redistricting that puts the responsibility for initial maps to be drawn by independent state agencies -- the Wisconsin Legislative Reference Bureau and the Government Accountability Board.

AB198 was introduced and referred to the Assembly Committee on Homeland Security and State Affairs on July 7, 2011.
