Top court blocks implementation of Wisconsin’s voter ID law
The on-again, off-again voter ID law is off again thanks to a ruling late yesterday by the U.S. Supreme Court. The long-term fate of the law is still to be decided, but what is known for now is that voters will not have to show a photo ID in order to cast a ballot in the upcoming November 4 election.
A judge in a lower federal court also issued a decision yesterday declaring the voter ID law in Texas unconstitutional because it amounts to a poll tax.

Democracy Campaign director Mike McCabe will be speaking at the Astor Hotel in downtown Milwaukee tomorrow, and will be on a local public affairs program on a Green Bay TV station Sunday morning.
Next Tuesday Mike will be speaking in Richland Center.
