Senator Bernier was first elected to the Assembly in 2010 and to the Senate in 2018. She was unopposed in the primary and faced Democratic opposition in the general election. Americans for Prosperity IE Committee ($34,065) and WMC Jobs Fund ($245,968) made independent expenditures favoring Senator Bernier. AFT-Wisconsin ($40), For Our Future ($27,562), Forward Majority Action ($15,372), High Ground Political Fund ($42,434) and Progressive Takeover Independent Expenditure Committee ($20,371) supported her opponent. Republican State Leadership Committee (estimated $70,000) spent undisclosed sums on "issue ads" supporting Senator Bernier. |
