2020 Election Notes and Background

Representative Brandtjen was first elected in 2014.

She was unoposed in the primary and in the general election.

Brandtjen was among 15 Wisconsin lawmakers and 91 GOP state legislators nationwide who asked former Vice President Mike Pence to delay certifying the presidential election results a day before a terrorist mob staged an insurrection at the U.S. Capitol to prevent Joe Biden from becoming president. The Jan. 5 letter from the lawmakers to Pence sought a 10-day delay in order to get state legislatures in battleground states to overturn the November presidential election results and give former President Donald Trump a second term.
