Wisconsin Supreme Court sides with business interests on recusal
The state Supreme Court yesterday approved rules written by Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce and the Wisconsin Realtors Association allowing judges to hear and rule on cases involving their biggest campaign supporters. For news coverage of the decision, go here.
Democracy Campaign director Mike McCabe testified at the hearing that preceded the court’s adoption of the rules, and his appearance before the court ended with a testy line of questioning by Justice David Prosser. A post today on our Big Money Blog offers some reflections on that encounter.
