State not enforcing key campaign finance disclosure law
Thank you to all who took the time to contact the state Government Accountability Board to urge the agency to comply with Wisconsin’s open records law and respond to the Democracy Campaign’s request for evidence of enforcement of an important disclosure law. Your efforts made a difference. We got an answer.

That’s the good news. The Democracy Campaign broke the bad news in a report issued today.

Donor database updated with tens of thousands of new records
Last night the Democracy Campaign added more than 45,000 new records of campaign donations to our searchable online database.
