Representative Davis was first elected to the Assembly in 2004. He was unopposed in the primary and faced Democratic opposition in the general election. NRA Political Victory Fund ($459), Volunteers for Agriculture ($1,821),Wisconsin Hospitals PAC ($1,237) and Wisconsin Right to Life PAC ($5) made independent expenditures favoring Representative Davis. Advancing Wisconsin ($1,991), Greater Wisconsin Committee PAC ($17,397), MTI Voters ($1,350) and UAW Janesville-Madison ($909) made independent expenditures supporting his opponent.
