Candidate supported: JoAnne Kloppenburg
Reported spending: $11,419
This organization filed with the Government Accountability Board as a corporation on March 17, 2011 to make independent expenditures to support JoAnne Kloppenburg's candidacy for the state Supreme Court and to oppose incumbent Justice David Prosser. The group said in an email a few days before the April 5 spring election that it had created and distributed thousands of "barn" signs, yards signs, flyers and bumper stickers mostly in northern Wisconsin to support Kloppenburg.
The corporation's treasurer, Leslie Walter Davis III, is a retired state employee who contributed to Tom Barrett's 2002 campaign for the Democratic nomination for governor.
This organization is registered with the Government Accountability Board following the January 2010 U.S. Supreme Court ruling in Citizens United v. FEC as a corporation making independent disbursements.
